This is good news for everyone dealing with spam. The article says this one person was personally responsible for so much spam that computer users probably see a decrease in it now he’s not out there sending it any more. That seems amazing to me. I guess he was extremely good at it!
Man described as a top spammer arrested

1The article says that someone who was on this guy’s list(s) might notice a decrease in spam (if only temporary) but most people won’t.
I almost hate to ask, but what kind of spam was he responsible for?
Which reminds me, the newspaper said recently that puppies are the newest hook in the spam world – “Only you can save this cute purebred puppy!! Send us your checking account information now!”
Second question I hate to ask – why was the topic “Was Jesus’s life perfect?” thought (by some computer program) to be semi-related to this post??? ;-)

2Oh, I should have read it more carefully. I was hoping for a decrease in my own spam, I guess :)
I haven’t noticed any letters about puppies – not that I read my spam very carefully.
I must have used some of the same words as you did in Class #6 for that post to be listed as ‘semi-related’. Now you know why it says ‘Semi-related posts’ instead of ‘related posts’!
