Off The Map Live is now set up as an event on Facebook. You can see who is on the guest list, add yourself and invite your friends who aren’t listed. (To attend the event you also need to buy a ticket)
If you didn’t buy tickets yet, I recommend you do while the early bird prices are still available (through September 15).
Rachel, Benjamin and Meg have kindly volunteered to organize an Off The Map Live blogger’s dinner for Friday, November 2.
If you’d like to participate in the dinner, e-mail them on the Justice and Compassion contact form.
I’m hoping to meet lots of people I’ve met online but not in person at Off The Map Live. I’m also looking forward to seeing the people I have met again. I’ll be leading a workshop Friday morning, called “How to make friends with ‘enemies’ and people who can’t see you”. There will be lots of interesting workshops: the workshop schedule will be added to our event site this week.

1Thanks Helen…I heard you’re doing a workshop, any ideas about who else might be?

2Thanks, Helen! We are excited about organizing this get-together!
Also - on the OTM Live blog, there are interviews posted with Todd Hunter, Brian McLaren and Richard Twiss. Interviews with Ruth Padilla Deborst and Diana Butler Bass will be coming soon.

5Excellent! I signed-up and I sent in my email for the dinner. I’m excited about this. I was just looking at the workshop schedule. Much coolness. The downside of going to an event like this is that it makes it so difficult to maintain my carefully cultivated complacency and cynicism. (Please excuse my alliteration.)

6Gary, hopefully by the end of the event you won’t be able to say “Nobody understands me!”

7Helen - LOL your comment to Gary. You should read his blog sometime.
And it’s so true, as per my experience last year.
I just looked at the workshop list and it’s going to be even harder to choose than last year!!! Argh! Phil Wyman&John Smulo…I think I’m going to cry!
Helen - the Blogger dinner is for all bloggers, not just OTM bloggers, correct? Maybe a stupid question…

8Hi Erin, Phil and John are doing a workshop together aren’t they? I’m really glad they will be there. I wanted to meet both of them.
Your question wasn’t stupid - not at all. I think this blogger dinner would mostly be of interest to OTM bloggers and friends.
John Smulo may be organizing something for bloggers in general - keep an eye on his blog and see what he says.
If it turns out he’s organizing a Friday dinner too then as far as I’m concerned you and Gary would be welcome to go to ours or his.
Or, if it makes sense we could combine our groups and have one dinner - I’d say it depends how big they turn out to be.
Sorry I can’t be more specific than that at this point in time.

11Helen and Erin,
Helen thanks for posting the info.
Erin,
Phil and I are doing a workshop together. Would love to have you there–but also lots of great choices.
I am planning on doing a bloggers meeting for everyone. I talked with Helen and Jim Henderson about this yesterday. I’ll be posting about this on my blog and getting some input soon.
I’m looking forward to meeting you both in person for the first time!
