Help John Smulo get to Off The Map Live

John Smulo just informed us that he can’t afford the airfare to Off The Map Live so he can’t come.

John is co-leading a workshop and he’s our live blogger – but even more important, he’s having a difficult year and we’d love him to be there so we can encourage and support him in person.

We’d like to raise his airfare for him – if you would like to give anything please use his paypal account:

  1. Go to his home page http://www.johnsmulo.com/
  2. Click the ‘paypal donate’ in the right sidebar
  3. Type ‘airfare’ as the item, then the amount you’d like to give

    This is Jim’s idea by the way. These are the kinds of ideas Jim has and that’s why I like working with Off The Map.

    Lainie, thanks for posting about this on your blog – I really appreciate it. By the way I visited your (old) blog recently because I saw some links to your post Top Ten Ways to fail at being missional – I enjoyed reading that! Hey I see you live near me (Chicago area). Maybe we can get together sometime? Or are you coming to Off The Map Live – will I meet you there?

    Sadly, I am unable to attend Off the Map, but I would love to meet you. I work downtown so could easily take the train to Oak Park…perhaps we could have dinner sometime? In any case, email me and we will work something out.

    i put it up at my blog, too. that way all ten of my readers can be aware of this wonderful opportunity to practice an OTM value : otherliness.

    Benjamin, that’s fine – just make sure if any of your three readers happen to say “Hey, I want to give some money away – any ideas?” you mention that we’re hoping to raise John’s airfare for him :)
