The value of many voices

Posted by Helen on: 01.10.2008 /

A few weeks ago Charlie Wear asked me to write something retrospective or forward-looking for the January 2008 issue of Next Wave as it begins its tenth year.

I wasn’t aware of Next Wave for most of its history and I don’t feel very qualified to talk about the future of the emerging church since I’m not really part of it. I thought for a while and decided to write about why I like Next Wave now and why I probably wouldn’t have read it nine years ago even if I had known of it.

What I wrote is here: The value of many voices

Lots of interesting people, including Off The Map leaders and friends like Brian McLaren, Jim Henderson and Todd Hunter, have contributed to this issue. I recommend checking it out whether you’re interested in what I wrote or not. In fact, why not get on their mailing list, since every issue I’ve seen has included lots of articles worth reading.
