Yesterday and today

Yesterday afternoon Randy and I visited with Benjamin and Megan Ady and Eowyn and Coco and Pam Hogeweide, who’s staying with them. I really enjoyed that.

In the evening Shoreline Vineyard (Rose and Rich Swetman’s church) hosted an informal spaghetti dinner which all those people were at, plus lots of other neat people. Eliza came with her son - it was great to see her again.

Afterwards I went out with Randy, David, Todd, Jim and Rich. Five Christians and me. But they didn’t try to convert me. Not to Christianity, anyway. It was fun to be with them.

Today, the Dalai Lama…

Helen, it was fantastic to see you yesterday evening & to get a chance to catch up a bit with you, Megan, Benjamin, Pam, & Jim, and to meet some new people! My son and I had a great time & felt very welcomed.

I hope the session today by/with the Dalai Lama (and Bishop Desmond Tutu, I think - is that right?) was interesting & thought-provoking. I was sorry to have to miss it!

Hi Eliza, I’m so glad you and your son could come to the dinner Monday evening!

Yesterday was a fun experience - I’ll write about it as soon as I can…right now I need to get ready to leave for the airport.

I’m very jealous that you got to hang out with all those cool people. :)

It was awesome, Mike. But at least we both got to hang out with cool people two weeks ago, right?
