    That is so hilarious. My sister works for Verizon in their phone support. I called her her about this video and she said after it came out all the phone help people in the entire company had to go for data training.

    The other weird thing is that they are discussing data usage in terms of kilobytes. That is so weird, since now of course data usage is all in terms of megabytes. My sister said this video is something like three years old and back then data usage *was* in terms of kilobytes.

    Thanks for the interesting update Benjamin. At least Verizon paid attention to the video and did something to try to improve phone support’s understanding.

    The last time I checked data prices for AT&T they were still quoting it as $.002 per KB.

    I assumed they did it that way because it sounded cheaper than per Megabyte. It quickly adds up if you receive e-mail or do any internet browsing on a cell phone. I was using my cell phone for data in Europe until I realized how expensive that was.
